WILL MEDAL!!!! please help!! Find the slope of the line through (-9, -10) and (-2, -5). a. -5/7 b. 7/5 c. 5/7 d. -7/5

OpenStudy (rhystic):

so slope is rise over run. rise are y coordinates and run are x. so you would have (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) the slope is (y1-y2)/(x1-x2) or in your case (-10 - -5) / (-9 - - 2) <- solve that and you have your answer

OpenStudy (radar):

You accepted an incorrect answer on your previous problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for telling me but now I'm confused on the previous question @radar

OpenStudy (rhystic):

I don't have a link to the previous problem you posted but if it was the one I commented on did you work it out? The answer should have been straightforward as is this one once you know what to do.

OpenStudy (radar):

The graph d. has a value of y =3, when x = -1, an obvious contradiction of your given equation.

OpenStudy (radar):

Sorry, I thought I was on your previous problem.

OpenStudy (rhystic):

fair enough. I thought I messed up an explanation or something :p
