CHOICES ARE \[10\sqrt{2} - 2\sqrt{10} - 100 - AND- 100\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (amorfide):

find the highest square number that goes into 200 let's say we use 100 we can rewrite 200 as 100x2 so we get \[\sqrt{100 \times 2}\] then using the rule \[\sqrt{a \times b}=\sqrt{a} \times \sqrt{b}\] we get \[\sqrt{100} \times \sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (amorfide):

simplify this yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[100\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (amorfide):

no

OpenStudy (amorfide):

square root of 100 is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10

OpenStudy (amorfide):

so you get

OpenStudy (amorfide):

\[10 \times \sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (amorfide):

that is simplified

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[10\sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (amorfide):

well done
