I WILL GIVE MEDALS!!! What is the volume of the pyramid? 64 ft3 96 ft3 144 ft3 192 ft3

Someone help me find the volume of that attachment

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

You need the formula for the volume of a pyramid. \(V = \dfrac{1}{3} Bh\) where B = area of the base, and h = height of the pyramid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so 6*8*1/3 ?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

In your case, the base of the pyramid is a rectangle, 8 ft by 4 ft. First, find that area. Then multiply it by the height of the pyramid, 6 ft. Then divide by 3.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

No, it's not what you have. You need the area of the base first. A rectangle has area A = LW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so 8*4 which is 32 and than 32*6=192 and then 192/3=64

@mathstudent55

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Excellent!!!

Yay!! Thanks for the help! :D
