Why is Simon able to recognize that the Beast is not real but within each person? A. Simon is level-headed and has the ability to figure out things that don't make sense. B. Simon thinks deeply and is able to see and understand what others cannot. C. Simon is supersititious and believes an evil spirit has taken over the boys. D. Simon is haunted by visions of the beast within himself.

I think it's B...or D....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

From what I remember, I believe it's B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I think so too. But idk. Because I remember him thinking about the Lord of the Flies saying i'm a part of you which meant that evil was a part of all mankind. So i'm thinking it could be d.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That makes sense. However, Simon is the one that realizes that evil is part of all mankind. Both answers make sense really :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Exactly which is why it's kind of confusing. >_< I'll just go with B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B seems more reasonable so yeah lol it'll be fine. :p Thank you! I'll tag you in the last question.
