HELP quadratic standard form to vertex form.
I have most of this stuff down, but I'm having trouble turning standard form to vertex form.
f(x)=x^2-7x+12

So far...
y=x^2-7x+12
-12 -12
y-12=x^2-7x
(x+ )(x+ )=x^2-7x
I'm not sure what to do now :C somebody please show me how to finish so I can make sure I understand this for an upcoming test!

hmmm do you know what a "perfect square trinomial" is?
sometimes just called "perfect square"
