Table salt has a solubility of 36 g of salt in 100 g of water at 40 C. If 15 g of salt is added to 50 g of water at the same temperature, is the resulting solution saturated or unsaturated?

the max solubility is 36 g per 100 g of water...Scaled down, this is 18 g per 50 g of water. you're only dissolving 15 g so it's not saturated
