Sexual reproduction has nothing to do with parenting. You can parent offspring which aren't yours and you can sexually reproduce without parenting.

There is no such thing as "genetically identical" - only genetically similar if you want to put it that way. Even so, it is far more likely for genetic disorders to develop when both parents have similar genetics - anything from immune system disorders to full blown retardation is at a much higher chance. Hence why we make jokes about ... nevermind.
