According to his critics, why did President Roosevelt propose increasing the number of justices on the Supreme Court?

is this multiple choice??

More justices = more presidential appointments from the longest serving president the U.S will ever have, barring a repeal of the 22nd amendment. Since SCOTUS justices serve a lifetime term, FDR's influence would be felt for years to come. Future presidents' appointments would have less impact on the makeup of the court if the number of justices were expanded. This is just off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure.
