@moneybaby980     Volume of: ¼ gal = Volume of: ⅔ bin      Volume of: x gal = Volume of: 1 bin This is a proportion problem:            (¼) ⁄ (⅔) = x ⁄ 1            (¼) ⁄ (⅔) = x     (1 ⁄ 4) • (3 ⁄ 2) = x                 3 ⁄ 8 = x   ...   total gallons required to fill entire bin To fill the bin, note that the number of additional gallons that need to be added to the initial ¼ gal is:    (3 ⁄ 8 gal)  –  (1 ⁄ 4 gal)  =  (1 ⁄ 8 gal)
