Lateral Area of a Prism
what is the formula i need to solve this?
I'm on a similar problem! I can help
okay :) that would be great!
Actually, if you come over to the question I just asked, the answer is there.
\[A _{L} = (a + b +c) h\]
Use the attachment to know what side the variables mean for.
so in my case the problem is AL=(6+6+6)16 ?@calculusxy
@lsDxMdmaddicThc
Yes :)
i think the sides aren't all 6. i think it should be (4.2+4.2+6)16
and that would make the AL 23.04 rather than 288
hey someone supposed to be in bed....hmmm....i seem to have said about tugging some one in bed in my creepiest voice! lol
hahaha, i tried! i couldnt sleep. i just need to practice 2 more and i think ill be okay. does this look okay? 23.04 ?
23.04? hell no! hahaha guess i cant leave u alone 4 a sec :P 1st thing 1st - what is the lateral area of a prism?
lol. okay see this is why i couldnt go to sleep! AL=(a+b+c)h right?
correct so what is a b c h in this case respectively?
remember the Q says its a "regular triangular" prism...
according to my math. a=4.2 b=6 c=4.2
height is 16?
nope regular mean its an equilateral triangle: all 3 sides are at 6...
okay in that case its 288 then
bingo :) now u can sleep well n easy i hope!
just one more and ill be able to!! :) for this one i got |dw:1429761074726:dw|
