OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

how are you doing that?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Me? idk lol i made it awhile ago

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

this is what i did, Amelia.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Huge\rlap{\color{blue}{AMQ}}{\color{black}{\; AMQ}}\)

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

^there ya go ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

`\(\Huge\rlap{\color{blue}{AMQ}}{\color{black}{\; AMQ}}\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pretty cool stuff here: http://openstudy.com/users/answermyquestions#/updates/53bd9182e4b0bbb79bdbc707

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

why is there a semicolon AMQ?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

\(\Huge\tt\rlap{\color{pink}{Hello}}{\color{red}{\;Hello}}\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

woahhhh I did it!

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yay!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's there for the rlap.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To work

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

ohh so there has to be \; for the second one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

\(\Huge\rlap{\color{lightblue}{Hey}}{\color{pink}{\; Hey}}\)

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

yay!!! :D it looks so pretty

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Made by thomaster :3

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

whoa O.O AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

Wait, let me count the stars :P

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

hmmm only 40. Disappointed lol jk it's soooo cool!!

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

AMQ, are you any good with \hspace?

OpenStudy (horsegirl27):

I am!!! :D

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

can you help? well, after you let me help you -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know hspace a bit

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

can you teach me HOW to use it and what each of the components are?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Huge\color{blue}{lolololol}{\hspace{-80pt}{\color{green}{lolololol}}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV hspace text `\(\Huge\color{blue}{lolololol}{\hspace{-50pt}{\color{green}{lolololol}}}\)` ^How far you want your hspace

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

how do you know how far you want it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, a negative 'pt' will make the text go to the left, while a positive 'pt' will make the text go to the right.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

okay, and which one do you put first? what's on the top, or what's on the bottom?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

like, if I were writing the code, which one is on top? the one I write first? or the other one?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

????

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

nevermind, I figured it out...

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

what would I do if I wanted more than 2 layers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Huge\color{blue}{lolololol}{\hspace{-80pt}{\color{green}{lolololol}{\hspace{-80pt}{\color{blue}{lolololol}}}}}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

`\(\Huge\color{blue}{lolololol}{\hspace{-80pt}{\color{green}{lolololol}{\hspace{-80pt}{\color{blue}{lolololol}}}}}\)`

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

so you don't have to change the pt? it goes off of what was prior to it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can change the pt if you want.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just put it as -80 like last time bc I wanted to :3

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

no, I mean, you put -80 for both... so I guess I just wanted to know if that's because it changes based on what was directly before it, not the first one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I meant...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just put -80pt for both because I wanted to... :/

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

oh, okay.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

I see that XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:p

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

it's going to take you forever to move up in the 60s...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@nobrainiachere can you teach me more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

more LaTeX?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

yep!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know less than you!!! XD

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

haha! Calebbbbbbbbbbb come hereeee @nobrainiachere

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

@nobrainiachere

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

FINALLY

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

so does \macro work again? if so, can you teach me?

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

who gave me a medal? o.o

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

Macro is simple...

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

well you never taught me...

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

Yes I did.

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

\(\Huge\sf{Macros}\) Macros are used to make multiple of something without writing it out all over again, it is also used to make commands. For example, you can type `\(\def\OS{OpenStudy}\OS\)` and it will come out as \(OpenStudy\) and so now, all you need to type, is `\(\OS\)` and it will come out as \(OpenStudy\)

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

no, you said it no longer worked so you didn't...

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

Oh, well it was just being weird that day.

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

It works now.

OpenStudy (bloomlocke367):

so why does it need to be that way?

OpenStudy (nobrainiachere):

Be what way?
