Electron beams are dangerous and can only be used sparingly. You cannot view live specimens because the necessary preparation kills cells. Resolution is weak and cannot make out details of very small specimens.

Just to give you some of the reasoning on this so you actually learned something, this is because electron microscopes typically use vacuums for their samples.
