What is a limitation of using electron microscopes to view specimens? You cannot view transparent specimens because of the microscope’s low resolution. Electron beams are dangerous and can only be used sparingly. You cannot view live specimens because the necessary preparation kills cells. Resolution is weak and cannot make out details of very small specimens.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ur welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just to give you some of the reasoning on this so you actually learned something, this is because electron microscopes typically use vacuums for their samples.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

medal please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plus the temperatures can get very hot for the samples.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well kia answered it first @coolman500

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well I'm glad I could help
