Oliver’s room is 3 yards wide. The perimeter of the room is 14 yards. What is the area of Oliver’s room?

so since 2 sides = 3 then that would be 6 6 + 2x = 14
so what would be th answer
subtract 6 on both sides 2x = 8 divide by 2 x = 4
^that's not the answer tho

to find the area just multiply 3 x 4 which = 12 the area is 12
the answer is 12
yea first you find the length of the side then you multiply length x width which = area
