This is probably the incorrect place to put this, but I don't know where else to put it, so:

If I edit something in Inspect Element, whenever I refresh the changes to the page will ALWAYS go back to normal, correct?

Yep, always. Inspect Element isn't a permanent thing and will disappear from sight. Whenever you make a mistake on IE, just refresh. ;)
