A 53-N force is needed to keep a 50.0 kg box sliding across a flat surface at a constant velocity. What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between the box and the floor? 0.11 0.10 0.13 0.09

OpenStudy (matt101):

If the box is moving at constant velocity, the forces acting on it must be balanced by Newton's First Law (i.e. the net force on the object is zero). A 53 N force is being applied in the forward direction. Kinetic friction is acting against this force in the opposite direction. Since the forces are balanced, the force of friction must also be 53 N. You want to find the coefficient of kinetic friction. What's the equation for friction in general?

i don't know.

I wrote it out in the question you just posted before this :)
