I need help man
plz
I saw the movie
ok nice
then can you plz help me with some question
I haven't seen the movie but it you go back to basics, the 5 w's, then identify the virtues and think about the characters. link the virtues with the characters you might have an answer
I can try... I would say virtues learned in this story are hope, courage, faith, the value of true, loyal friendship. Red and Andy have those. But then there was that guy( Tommy -- I think) who actually knew the truth and how Andy didn't kill his wife...his virtue would be honesty...because he was gonna tell the warden and get Andy out.
oh ok
"this gripping story of hope and courage has become one of the most beloved films of its time."
it is a very good movie...you have got to see it..I highly recommend it
I know
I have a one more question related to the Brooks
is that the dude who killed himself by hanging himself when he got out ??
oh yeah you are right
he didn't know how to act when he got released....so he offed himself
i have a question like why do you think Brooks cannot handle his freedom, saying that "he can't make it on the the outside"
he had been in prison for sooo long...he was basically institutionalized. He was so used to having everyone tell him what to do....when to eat, when to sleep, when to pee....he forgot how to do it on his own.
well....I wouldn't say forgot....he just felt out of place. All his friends were still in prison
I remember like he say in the jail for 40 years
I can't even imagine being in there for 1 yr, let alone 40
got anymore q's ??
yes
anyway thnx for helping
There is also a lot of biblical references to the Bible.....Andy relating to Jesus....Red, relating to John the Babtist...and so on
choose any three characters (prisioners and authority figures) and asses how much freedom each has, as well as what kinds of freedom each has
But do you see the last part how the andy come out from jail
it was too pellet thou
warden has all the freedom he wants....until he gets busted and shoots himself in fear of getting caught. He figures he is the " almighty " authority figure and it is HIS prison and you have to do what he says or pay the consequences. Andy is allowed some freedom.....restricted freedom...for helping out the warden and also helping out the guards with their taxes. I suppose the head guard...I forget his name...has unlimited freedom....he is an a$$ just like the warden.
I saw the end....I can't imagine crawling through a sewer pipe to get free.....I guess it shows how bad he wanted freedom
yep
I hope I was able to help you some
oh yeah you are helping me a lot thou
anymore q's ?
I appreciate you
lol...thanks
yes'
ask away
but you only tell about two person
I mean in the previous q
its really a great movie I would watch it when you can!
andy, the warden, and the head guard......the trustees, like Brooks, Red, and Andy had limited freedom...all the other prisoners had no freedom. The guards had freedom....thy got to go home at night to be with their families.
andy got more access to things because he got the warden to think they were friends...he earned the wardens trust....foolish warden
well..not really friends...because he had Tommy killed so andy would remain in prison
