Is there any way I could trouble you for a link to a Google Document? My computer can't read this type of file.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If u walk me through the linking process I can try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob already did it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You did?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There's the doc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks for doing that I don't know how to do that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem. Sorry I wasn't able to help with the problem though :\

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a really confusing one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think I understand. You have two triangles that look like this, right?|dw:1429849003211:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It doesn't have any pictures in the question so I don't have those

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What I did was I used the similar line lengths to find out which proportions did not work, since similar triangles have similar angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Line LM has one tick mark, and so does line XY. They aren't the same, but this is just for my reference. Since the two triangles are proportional, the corresponding sides should be proportional as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Going back to my reference, the line segments should have the same number of tick marks to show the proportions. This word problem is to catch you off guard with the names of each line. If the tick marks aren't even, then the proportion might not always be true.
