I ask this question because I think it is important. I asked it once berfore, but I felt like asking again. What is your OS story? How did you start or find OS?
I started homeschooling about two years ago. Before that, I had always gone to a public school where the teachers were in front of me, teaching me the lessons. When I started homeschooling, I hated it. I had no idea how to teach myself. It also didn't help that I was a strait A student in a public school. I was getting bad grades, and it was tearing me apart inside. Math was my worst subject when I started. I kept searching and searching for just answers. That never helped me at all. Then OpenStudy started showing up and I decided to join. When I asked questions on OS, I was amazed when I finally understood a concept. So instead of dreading math, I actually came to like it. Sometimes, I do math for fun. It has helped me to understand my math problems, and to help other people on theirs. Another thing is, since when I asked questions on OS, and other users helped me understand the concept, I no longer just want the answer. I want to understand what I'm doing, so that way I can do it myself. I kind of got a little off track there, but the first part is a little bit on how and why I joined OS :)
Lol omg this was asked like 100 times lol. Os has been a great site, it kept me from playing games and not doing my homework and now i don't really play games anymore like i use to and now i am better in school. I learn new things everyday for other helpers that i never knew before and i hope this site will help you improve in school. ~Jagr2713 i came here 2yrs agp but on my profile it says 3months ago lol but i came here when i was in geo in 10th grade and now i am in 12 and graduating in may but i got help from the best and old @zzr0ck3r havent seen him/she in a while. since then i got hook on OS
A MIRAcle happened
BAHAHAHA. @Miracrown
LOL ^^
I have no idea how I got hooked to OpenStudy. Must have been that weird potion the evil overlord gave me.
well My story is complicated so ...
post it anyways
hmm ok
So my whole life Ive been in school until one day in 7th i decided my IQ wasn't increasing, So in 8th grade I decided to try Brevard virtual, Now im st.Johns virtual, but anwyays I struggled in math in 8th grade however sometimes i would use OS after a while my parents caught on and said stop using OS ... never listened Os was the only thing that kept me passing Still hadnt made an account at this point because i was cautious to see if this was a legit cite or not. Finally I deiced to make an account and found it was great so as time moved on I got the help I needed until I started helping others and when i helped others I was learning myself as I started teaching people how to solve thier problems.... etc to be continued ... ALL in All im in 10th now and still like it the end! :}
I was kinda forced into homeschooling because i was failing one of my classes and because my parents thought my friends were a distraction so now I'm here. it is not as bad as i thought it would be but i still miss my friends because i like get really shy unless if i already now 1 person so i like don't talk at all during class or during field trips and normally just stand it the back. Because i don't talk much i don't really get helped as much so i would look up questions online and open study always had the best answer's so i decided to sign up.
