I need help with some ideas on an essay. I need to state if I agree or disagree with this quote and why. Any ideas? "What difference does it make how much you have? What you do not have amounts to much more."—Seneca

I would agree. What does what you have matter when you always need more.

"What difference does it make how much you have? What you do not have amounts to much more."—Seneca I, for one, disagree with this quote. Society is (for the most part) built on getting more. Somewhat that’s useful but, it may not be the solution to all your problems. “Our only trouble is that we haven't land enough. If I had plenty of land, I shouldn't fear the Devil himself!” Seeking protection in the achievement of wealth instead of finding it in the modest family life of the peasant, Pahom sinks into the control of the devil. Pahom is a man who has a loving family and enough to provide for them. He and his wife are content to live outside the city and away from any of the Devil's temptations; yet, he wishes he had more land. Pahom acts on this wish more than once, and he eventually gets so greedy (with the Devil's help) that he dies with nothing but, the six feet of land needed to bury him. ^^^ this is what i have so far. Can you try and help me add on? @Blonde_Gangsta
