OpenStudy (majesty69):

I will give medals!!!!!!! I just need help starting it

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

When game starts, 0 town and 4 villagers. Each town allows 1.13 times as many villagers. So after 1st town, villagers no. = 4*1.13 2nd town, villagers no. = 4*1.13*1.13 and so on... U should be able to figure out from here on. good luck!

OpenStudy (majesty69):

is there a formula that you used???

OpenStudy (majesty69):

@sdfgsdfgs

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

hahahaa u are supposed to come up with the formula :P wat i did above is just go by the descriptions as stated in the question do u understand the steps?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

sort of is it geometric or arithmetic?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

wat the definitions for geometric n arith? n which one fits better to the descriptions above?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

im so confused........

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

No need to be confused...just look at the statements below: So after 1st town, villagers no. = 4*1.13 2nd town, villagers no. = 4*1.13*1.13 Geo or arith?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

yup yup, very very good! :) so is it a common ratio or difference in this case?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

different?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

no common

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Correct! so now u know it is geometric right?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

wait it's different or common?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

common difference or common ratio?

OpenStudy (majesty69):

wait wasnt it common difference?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

So after 1st town, villagers no. = 4*1.13 2nd town, villagers no. = 4*1.13*1.13 ratio or difference?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

BINGO :)

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Also correct! so u know the formula to use for calculating villagers for 17 towns right?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

hmmm no...plz relax a bit first ok :)

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

u know its geometric because there is a common ratio each time a new town is created. so far so good?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

So after 1st town, villagers no. = 4*1.13 2nd town, villagers no. = 4*1.13*1.13 what is the no. of villagers for 3 towns?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

show me the formula on how u calculate plz

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

VERY good :) so it can be written as 4x(1.13)^3 right? how about no of villagers for 17 towns then?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

hahahaaa VERY VERY GOOD :)

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

No need to feel dat way - u all figure it out now ;)

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

wait are u all good n understand how to write out the ans for the 1st Q now?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Good :) another Q may cost u now :P hehee but go ahead n post it
