Well The underground rail road was built for slave to escape the north and go to places where slavery wasnt aloud.

The under ground railway was a system of safe houses for slaves to help slaves go NORTH. Abolitionists didn't need to travel secretly. The answer is not D. I anybody is still paying attention.
