OpenStudy (amistre64):

i dont understand the question ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not 100% sure but I THINK Im supposed to make a smaller scale of it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

not if you scale it by 3 ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

say we have a square of sides 2; whats the area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not entirely sure, but its too late to turn it in now anyway; its a zero now. Thanks for the effort anyway. I'll just do some extra credit to make it up

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2x2 = 4 i we scale it by 3 2(3) x 2(3) = 36 4:36 is a ratio of 1:9 so our new object has an area that is 9 times larger than the original.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

in general the area of an object scaled by a factor of k, will be k^2 in comparison

thank you for helping me; maybe my teacher will be lenient.
