OpenStudy (preetha):

What is a Fourier Transformation?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I don't know :/ @perl @amistre64 @jim_thompson5910 Help Preetha out :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

I know what a fourier series is, ive been currently teaching myself about the transform but havent mastered it yet ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

I have alot more notebooks to fill out and videos to watch before i feel confident in this area is all :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Consider any time-dependent path in two-dimensions. Such a path can be modelled by adding up the frequencies of an infinite number of circles. The radii of these circles is the Fourier transform. It's used a lot in analyzing electrical signals, as well as light interference patterns, responses of linear systems to external inputs, etc.

OpenStudy (preetha):

Awesome. Thanks all.
