@Directrix
use the definition of a parabola the set of all points that are equidistant from a focus, f, and a line directrix, d
say f = (a,b) , and the directrix is y=k take the set of point (x,y) and equate the distances (x-a)^2 + (y-b)^2 = (x-x)^2 + (y-k)^2
I know I am getting to this late, but thank you so much! :)
