Are the numbers indicated in the figure in percentage or the direct number of students? Supposing they are in percentage form Note that in total, we have 100% in the set. The 40% (the number outside the circles) denotes that they do NOT use both bar soap and face wash. Therefore, the percentage that they DO USE bar soap OR face wash is 100%-40% = 60% Work wonders from there :)
The whole rectangle is the 100% so the elements (or rather the numbers inside the rectangle) should sum up to 100%
