Two altitudes of an isosceles triangle are equal to 20 cm and 30 cm . Determine the base angles of the triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to identify the base angle ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sir ?

OpenStudy (radar):

The base angles are the two equal angles that are adjacent to the unequal side. I wish I could help you further, but this problem has got me stumped. I am sure that the ratio of those two altitudes relate in some way to determine the angles.

@misty1212 hopefully you can provide further info on this problem.

@kdpaul was there any additional information provided including a drawing?
