anyone can reword this? 14th Amendment The 14th Amendment addresses to citizens rights and equal protection of the laws. This ratification granted citizens to all, which included former slaves recently freed. This amendment expanded the protection of civil rights to all Americans and is cited in more litigation than any other amendment. The significance of the amendment is it defines the meaning of being a US citizen protects certain rights of the people.
