Study the following food chain: grass → rabbits → snakes → hawks. From this chain, you can correctly assume that each population A. supports the next trophic level. B. is always larger than the one before it. C. is a species of herbivore. D. is a carnivore.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B always larger than the one before it Because grass is eaten by a rabbit that consumes more and then the rabbit gets eaten by the snake which has dominated any creatures like mice gophers etc... Then the hawk which is power full and can catch a snake in a second

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure about this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i like the sound of b but choose whichever you want

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it was A. supports the next trophic level thanks anyway for your response

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's A, based on this chain alone you don't know that the predator is bigger than its prey. That would be an assumption

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep :)
