whats the difference between and the similarity the imperialist and anti-imperialism

The huge difference between imperialists and anti-imperialists was the disagreement on expansion. Imperialists wanted territorial expansion for an advantage in resource, military, and just more land to use. Anti-imperialists were against this idea, claiming that it went against american democracy.
