I think we can rule out A and B, while they certainly have an effect I don't think we can say they are the greatest influence.

I'm honestly kind of stuck between C and D. The type of soil you have is crucial, but to be honest its really the temperature and rainfall that weeds out the plants (pun intended :] )

Anyways, I'm leaning towards D
