OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

What is the surface area of a rectangular prism? HELPPPPPPP

OpenStudy (vianne):

You want the formula? XD We need a picture..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes we do

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

(SA=2B+PH

OpenStudy (vianne):

Okay.. So, what are you trying to find out? :P The SA, but we can't figure that out for you since we don't have a visual image to look at. 1. We don't know the widths & lengths & base & etc... 2. We don't know what your thoughts have processed so far.

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

The surface area x the perimeter x height

OpenStudy (vianne):

@youngnephew34 Since you know the formula and stuff... Then aren't you able to do this alone? :P You are telling what you think the formula is, but haven't tried a problem yet to see if you are doing everything correctly.

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

I found the perimeter for the triangular prism and it was 4 then I did the height it is 4 1/2 actually its 4 .5

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

Then I did the lateral area x perimeter x height

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

It was 90

OpenStudy (youngnephew34):

I calculated the area and the base it was 144

OpenStudy (vianne):

I'm sorry, but this is a bit confusing. Can you please post your question in a proper way? So that I'm able to understand instead of just writing words and how you're solving it. Because I don't have a vivid picture of your problem in my mind. :/
