Which transformations will produce similar, but not congruent, figures? A. Triangle PQR is reflected across the x-axis and then rotated 90° clockwise to form triangle PꞌꞌQꞌꞌRꞌꞌ. B. Triangle PQR is reflected across the y-axis and then dilated by a scale factor of 6 to form triangle PꞌꞌQꞌꞌRꞌꞌ. C. Triangle PQR is rotated 180° counterclockwise and then translated 11 units left to form triangle PꞌꞌQꞌꞌRꞌꞌ. D. Triangle PQR is rotated 90° clockwise and then reflected across the y-axis to form triangle PꞌꞌQꞌꞌRꞌꞌ.

I think it's A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay what do you think @automaticloveletter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's A.

OpenStudy (baby_bear69):

It would be B. Dilation means changing the size, therefore they would be similar but not congruent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks guys

OpenStudy (baby_bear69):

You're welcome (:

OpenStudy (automaticloveletter):

Triangles are congruent when they have exactly the same three sides and exactly the same three angles. So what do you think?
