The New Deal programs can be described as intrusive. They interfered with commerce and even the social lives of American citizens, and some feared they were starting to leav a bit towards communist ways. Many also felt that the New Deal programs did not provide enough reform, since they were expensive to get going. Unemployment at the time was still high during the New Deal, so many felt it was not doing it's job. I hope you can draw 2 conclusions from this bit of information!
