Which is the closest approximation to the area of the circle? Use 3.14 or 22/7 to approximate π. A. 57 mm² B. 113 mm² C. 324 mm² D. 1017 mm²
Hi!!!
Okay so this is easy if.... you have the formula.
the formula is 3.14x2xr
@DenishaH Thanks!!!
so 3.14*2=6.28
like that?
Not exactaly.
so 3.14x2x18mm=113.04 so the final answer is B
oh
were did you get the 18 from tho?
@DenishaH You are violating OS CoC that You agreed to. Direct answers are against openstudy CoC
iYuko sorry I just joined you dont't have to be so rude
\[C=\pi*D\]I prefer this formula to use soo the first step is to find the diameter Which is 18* because the radius is half of the diameter.
@iYuko is not being rude @DenishaH people type it in there own voice people take it in a different voice and may think it is rude
oh that's were the 18 is from
So what is 18*2?
18*2 is 36
\[C=3.14*36\]
Now what is the answer?
Their are a few different equations you can use I just prefer to use this one. :)
Did you find the answer?
113.04...sorry I took long my mom tagged me in a photo on facebook
Yup its \[113.04mm ^{2}\]
so B...thx for the help
Some times questions like these ask for an exact answer. But this one was asking you to use 3.14 and pi goes on 4 ever so this answer is not exact but its the correct one...B
what grade are you in...my homeschool site is teaching us math that we are supposed to learn in 10th grade...im in the 6th
I'm in 8th I did stuff like this a long time ago. xD
