Question

So im trying to write a short story, and i would like to know how to keep it interesting and fresh for about maybe 6 or 7 pages to it ???

Don't overly describe things (like appearances, clothing, rooms, etc.) Try to add quick and witty dialogue. When you ARE describing things, use the best version of a word possible. Like perhaps, "infuriated" sometimes, instead of just "angry" or "irritated". That all usually makes a story very interesting. And add the rising action quickly, there's no need to go four or five pages of scene and character-setting before anything interesting happens. :)

^What IReallyCouldUseHelp said is very good. If you want to keep the story short, don't get too detailed. Be detailed enough so as to avoid making your readers confused (therefore keeping them from thinking "be more specific"), though. Additionally, make sure to not "write in circles", as I call it. By that I mean to not repeat yourself over and over. If you catch yourself "writing in circles", think of a way to state the repeated sentences in just one or two sentences, but not to where it sounds blunt and harsh.
