is this sentence a assonance? Thank God almighty, I saw the light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you think @stclet

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@stclet Well, assonance is repetition of identical/similar vowel sounds in words, without necessariy having to rhyme. That in mind, the words we need to determine are "almighty" and "light". What do you think? Do they sound similar, even if they don't rhyme?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no they dont @IReallyCouldUseHelp

how about any of these sentences do they have assonance, consonance, alliteration, or ononatopoeia? And now I'm singing along to amazing grace Can't nobody wipe this smile off my face Got joy in my heart, angels on my side Thank God almighty, I saw the light Gonna look ahead, no turning back Live every day, give it all that I have Trust in someone bigger than me
