Help please!!! On a movie set, an archway is modeled by the equation y = -0.5x2 + 3x, where y is the height in feet and x is the horizontal distance in feet. A laser is directed at the archway at an angle modeled by the equation -0.5x + 2.42y = 7.65 such that the beam crosses the archway at points A and B. At what height from the ground are the points A and B? 1.5 feet and 3.5 feet 1.5 feet and 4 feet 3.5 feet and 4 feet 4 feet and 4 feet

I think its c!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Seems you just need to set up a systems of equations

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Long story, its going to take me forever to type, can you just tell me whether your'e getting the same?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Naw

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

If you're not willing to show me your work, that means you just want a direct answer, I have no interest in doing the problem for you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait, so is it b? That was my second choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fine i'll show the work, buit you have to stay here till im done!

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Just write it out and I'll check

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. I just found something out, its b. Thanks!
