Symbiosis is the interaction between two different organisms living in close physical association, typically to the advantage of both.
Competition is the relationship in which each of the participating species get harmed. For example if two species compete with each other for food then as a outcome of it both of them will receive limited/reduced amount of food and hence both are harmed.
