So these are just multiples of 4, which sign changes. next term is -20, how do I write the rule, though?

great and it is alternating
so you know if we had 4,8,12,16,... the n-term would be given by 4n correct?
now if you had -1,1,-1,1,-1,... then the n-term would be given by (-1)^n
