im going to be in high school next and its required to have your own laptop. I need a laptop that is reliable, fast, small, light, and it has to be dell. It also has to be $100 to $250.
and you expect me to buy you one XP
lol. no what computer should i get?
dell is a good choice :P
which one though?
how much money ya need?
Would you prefer Microsoft or Chrome operating system?
chromebooks are the best in that price range imo
^ that's what I was thinking but some people swear by Microsoft which is why I asked xD
Wouldn't this be fit more for like Computer Science? =P
wait a sec
*done* I waited.
chromebook
I heard many people with chromebooks have issues with OpenStudy :/
o^_^o
@Nnesha LOL.
but its really good all round
@pjpineda17 here are are few good options: Dell CRM3120-1667BLK 11.6-Inch Chromebook http://goo.gl/O30JHy Dell Chromebook 11 11.6-inch http://goo.gl/Y8YqIt Dell Chromebook 11 - 11.6" - Celeron 2955U - Chrome OS - 4 GB RAM - 16 GB SSD http://goo.gl/CRUQ0O last one is the best that fits in your price range (my opinion)
@TheSmartOne I have no problems using Chromebook for OpenStudy ^_^
Tell that to @sammixboo and @pooja195 :P
it must be their accounts then :P I'm perfectly fine xD
Well, you were always the special one. ;)
^^
Are you going to buy a laptop online or through a commercial store like Best Buy? If you plan to buy one online you can expect a cheaper price.
amazon!
Chromebooks ARE A BIG NO NO!!
But a dell chromebook is better than samsung......
xD just because you've had some bad experiences with one chromebook doesn't mean all of them are bad >.> I've been using all sorts of school chromebooks to go on OpenStudy and they all work AMAZINGLY
Samsung is too thin + costly get a dell chromebook is u wish its better than samsung and should last you longer c:
The Dell chromebook actually costs more than the Samsung one :O
Of course, because the samsung one is lower in quality (I think)
Maybe...the ratings aren't as good so... :/
No the Dell costs LESS then the samsung
Not at what I'm seeing XD
Plus the replacements parts for that are really expensive :/ My brother uses samsung I use dell i got mines for a cheaper cost :/ @EclipsedStar show me the site
http://prntscr.com/6z04qi http://prntscr.com/6z04y3 Maybe it depends on the model
wow thats weird :/ or maybe they reduced prices due to quality
The prices do change frequently.
right >.>
what about that?
Then again, I guess it's all based on the model.
Chromebook really makes me struggle on completing some task in school because I can't download anything that in't in the google chrome store, so And it sucks for OpenStudy too sometimes, and a TON of other things
I tend to freeze on big sites like youtube and facebook as well
And alt codes don't seem to work for my chromebook
And no F keys (F1, F2, F3...)
ipads arent bad I have one
@pjpineda17 For this price range, Chromebooks would be the best bet, but a downside is that exe's don't work on them and they basically are for schoolwork and schoolwork only. You can get games through the Chrome shop and watch yt and Netflix just fine, but if you're a gamer, you're screwed xD But when I used a Chromebook(very briefly) for 1yr at an online school, I had few issues with OS. Most of the regular issues actually...just lag. So I would suggest a Chromebook as Dell's and such are much more expensive and they won't give you the best bang for your buck ;p
You may want the OS to be a 64 bit. Get one with a faster processor and sufficient hard drive space.
OS=Operating System
thanks for all the help
No problem. Good luck! :)
thanks i think im getting this one http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/chromebook-11/pd?oc=smtan28400006&model_id=chromebook-11&l=en&s=bsd
or this one http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N99FV76/ref=psdc_565108_t1_B00O5VX2KK
@pjpineda17 ah so you're looking at the toshiba as well? I currently have a toshiba and it is amazing! :D Here is a comparison for the two choices you are looking at: the Toshiba costs a little Less the Toshiba has a Bigger screen (13.3 vs 11.6) the Dell has the Larger RAM (4GB vs 2GB) the Toshiba has the Higher Processor speed (2.16 GHz vs 1.4 GHz) the Dell is Lighter in Weight than the Toshiba the Toshiba has a slightly Longer battery life Both have Intel HS Graphics Both have 16GB worth of Storage and Include the 100GB(?) google drive offer Personally, I would go for the Dell you have selected because 4GB compared to 2GB makes *quite* the difference! Also the Screen Resolution is the same (even if the Toshiba's screen is bigger) so the Toshiba's screen by be blurry at times because of it! This is still just my opinion, so don't feel pressured by what I've said, it's your money and your choice after all ^_^
sry but i used chomebooks before and it was one of the best computers i've ever had, mine never glitched slowed down blacked out or anything across those line, i dropped it like 30-40 times and it was still intact(this is the samsung chromebook im talking about and yes there are different types of chromebooks) so idk why you guys are complaining about something i used personally and worked great
and after i dropped it those 30-40 times i didnt need to go a repair it at all and it was still working perfectly
