A swimmer who can swim 4.0m/s in a pool is swimming in a river with a current of 1.5m/s. The swimmer is heading in a direction of 30 degrees from upstream. She starts from a dock on one side of the river, and 12 min later she arrives at the other side of the river. Calculate the velocity of the swimmer relative to the banks of the river. The answer is 2.8m/s, but I don't get that.
