OpenStudy (anonymous):
@phi can you help me set this up?
OpenStudy (igreen):
What's 80 - 50?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
It's 30
OpenStudy (igreen):
I think it's asking what percentage is the price he rose..

I could if I knew what they meant by value. iGreen thinks it means profit. that sounds good
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but i put that and i got the answer wrong several times
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I mean i can try again though
OpenStudy (phi):
what number did you put in ?
OpenStudy (igreen):
No, 30 isn't the answer.

I think its asking for the percent it rose
OpenStudy (igreen):
Divide 30 to the price she sold it for..
OpenStudy (igreen):
he*
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Okay
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I get 2.7 if i round up

You divided the wrong way.
It's 30 / 80 not 80 / 30.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
because i know ___% of 50 is 80. and that ___% * 50 = 80
OpenStudy (anonymous):
but i don't know how to find the percent.
OpenStudy (phi):
I am *guessing* they want 80/50 as a percent?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
maybe that's what they are asking

This question is poorly written..
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yeah it is
OpenStudy (phi):
