scale factor in this case would be the fraction of those two given numbers :) so try reducing the fraction 12/21 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 0.57142857142

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

oh, I don't think you should try putting it into a calculator :/ it would only make you more confused do you know how to simplify 12/21 = ? it is like how 4/6 = 2/3 idea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know how sorry :(

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

That's alright :) I can help, 12 and 21 can both be divided by 3 right? so 12 / 3 = ? and 21 / 3= ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4&7

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

good :) so what answer has those two numbers? :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need help on this one, i thought i could do it but i cant >.>

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

it is the same idea since the shape is *becoming* smaller, the scale factor should be *less than one* so try doing the Smaller number Divided by the Larger given number, (you can use your calculator for this one) :)

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

mmm 9/15 = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.6

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

there you go! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whos da best? U da besttttttt

OpenStudy (sleepyhead314):

haha I've gtg, if you are in no rush and need help later, just tweet the link to openstudy and I'll come by to help again ^_^
