What principal of a lever is being used in this photograph? A. A bottle opener is a type of lever that reduces the input force required by reducing the distance over which the force is applied. B. A bottle opener is a type of lever that enables the same work to be done over a shorter distance with less force. C. A bottle opener is a lever in which a smaller input force acts over a larger distance so that a larger output force can act over a smaller distance. D. A bottle opener is a type of lever that magnifies the output force required.
i think its B but im not sure
@MrNood
How far does ypur hand move whan you lever off the cap? How far does the cap move Could oyu remove the cap with oyur hand? NO - that's why you need the opener - so the force exerted by the opener is more than that you can exert by hand. B is not correct.
Im thinkin either A or C
I am not going to confirm or deny unsupported guesses. Use the information above, and your teaching about levers to WORK OUT what the answer is. You need to exert more force than you can by hand - does your hand more further or less than the edge of the cap?
