So the layout of what you'd want to write is pretty much this.
[intro/hook (ex) "everyone confronts obstacles in their lives, some refer to those obstacles as "everyday monsters."]
[give brief explanation of your everyday monster (don't be too detailed, you want to save some of that for the body paragraphs)]
[thesis (remember, thesis is always at the end of your intro paragraph. make sure the thesis includes points of what you're gonna be writing about in the upcoming paragraphs]

Lets try choosing something much larger and significant rather than bugs. You can even make it up (I advise you to make it up if you don't have a firm idea on what you're going to decide.) Say something like "my everyday monster is majority of people at school since I'm a victim to bullying."
