I need a bit of help, I'm confused, how can you tell when a graph is discontinuous?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simply by inspection of the graph

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

|dw:1430246917415:dw| If there is a hole

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So there's a gap in one of the graph lines...? Or is there more to it?

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

Well there a couple of times where a graph is discontinuous #1 is when there is a gap like i showed you above

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

#2 is there are asymptotes and the function goes to infinity |dw:1430247083531:dw|
