@dan815 @jigglypuff314

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the maximum value is 2 and the minimum value is -2. but i don't know how to find the zeros

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

zeros is where the function crosses the x axis :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what does that mean for this?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

here, I drew red dots where the "zero"s are :) http://prntscr.com/6zaldu

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see that but what are their values?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

http://prntscr.com/6zamly I believe the boxes are in increments of pi/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How can I find the values?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the first one is pi/8?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

that's right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What would be the second one?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

pi/8 + pi/4 =

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3pi/8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Was I right about the maximum and minimum values?

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

yes :) and yes ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perfect thank you so much!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The amplitude is 4 and the period would be pi/2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Refer to the attached plot from Mathematica 9.

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

I believe that is correct :) good job@

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):

*!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much for your help and nice name/profile pic

jigglypuff314 (jigglypuff314):
