I used the pythagorean theorem to get the answer of 9.591663047 without any rounding. To get to this answer I used \[a ^{2}+b ^{2}=c ^{2}\] a being what you're looking for, b is 3 feet, and c is 10 feet. Then I just did the math after substituting 3 for b and 10 for c.
