What happens to DNA after transcription is over ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well Transcription is the first step of gene expression, then DNA is copied in to RNA by the enzyme RNA polymerase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to answer your question properly: the DNA plops back into its chromosomal conformation (the strands go back together) and is stored until the next transcription enzyme complex connects.

OpenStudy (somy):

@BriannaBear DNA is not copied into RNA, its transcribed. These are two different terms. @a-mbition the question is asking about DNA what happens to it after transcription? so here @Schleifspur is more correct.
