dddd47906, they are not a non-proffit. A NPO has to meet several legal requirments and get most of its funding from donations. It can be a huge hassle to become one. So they did not go that way.

Look. The whole point or the whole aim was for OpenStudy to get money for YOU to use OpenStudy lag-free(yes, this still is an issue, but it's getting fixed. Just be patient), peaceful, and free help. As iambatman has stated above, be thankful for what you have. We do have great and spectacular users that are NOT a qualified helper and they still show their outstanding work along with the help they give.
